In the sixth picture from the top, it makes a mockery of Christ's suffering and Paulacrucian spirituality. Our Lord, in his human state, could not take his hands off the Cross to embrace anyone. This picture depicts that he was merely going through the motions of suffering. His suffering was real.

Hi Gerry,
Thanks for your comment. Although I don't know the artist, I believe the inspiration behind the painting is Jesus' sacrificial love for Paul and all of us, remembering how He loved us to His death on the Cross. He is, after all, still nailed to the Cross in the photo.
-At least, that is what I get out of the picture when I look at it...

t oday being te feast of St.Gabriel of OLSS,I was looking for some prayers in his honor.Saw your site and visted the contents with interest.Was delighted to find the last picture of the gallery.I remember finding a novena with the same picture on a seat on a train about 40yrs ago.It changed my life and directed me to the Franciscan order and the priesthood.
